Press Release Press Release for the 13th Annual Chinese New Year Festival in Birmingham
The Birmingham Chinese Festival Association (BCFA) is proud to present the 12th Chinese New Year Gala at Boutwell Auditorium from 10:30am to 2:30pm on Saturday, February 2nd 2019. The address is 1930 8th Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama 35203.
To celebrate the year of dog, BCFA has invited multiple art groups from local talents and professional artists, such as martial arts and various musical assemblie. This year's festivities will include Chinese food/ drink and gifts/souvenirs from local businesses. In addition, BCFA invited Zhaoyang Art troupe from our sister city -Beijing Chaoyang. They will play traditional Chinese instrument and sing Beijing Opera.
Students from K9 to 12 will also benefit from Chinese educational games. You surely do not want to miss this fusion of East and West diversity highlight.
It has become a tradition for BCFA to host the Chinese New Year show every year. The BCFA is a non-profit organization that is committed to serve the Greater Birmingham community in learning about Chinese language and culture.
BCFA has been working closely with Birmingham Museum of Arts, City of Birmingham and City Library to deliver a broad spectrum of events to enhance the Chinese cultural experience in the city.
Ticket price is $5 for adults and free for age 12 and under. See enclosed festival poster for details.
